Lakeside Weathers the Storm and Improves to 5-0

Lakeside Panthers 38, Riverside Eagles 29 (Boys)
11-7-12

After falling behind 20-8 after one quarter and playing much of the first half without forward Artest Banks, Lakeside regrouped to defeat Riverside 38-29, establishing a county leading 5-0 record.

Coach Tom Widenaar Instructs the Panthers
The Panthers were led by Kre'sean Hall, a versatile wing player who can score from deep, attack the basket off the dribble, and create open shots for teammates.  Hall's 20 points were huge after sidekick Artest Banks spent much of the first half on the bench due to foul trouble.

And Hall got help from center Dylan Hammett, who dominated the boards, played good interior defense, and got into position to finish offensively when Hall and others penetrated into the paint and attracted his defender.

Austin Canaday led Riverside (3-2), scoring 14 points, including 4 three pointers, all in the first half.

Lakeside will host Greenbrier Friday.  Riverside will host Stallings Island.
