Grovetown Wins the Battle of the Back Courts

Grovetown Patriots 49, Harlem Bulldogs 39
11-2-12

In a game featuring what are possibly the county's two most exciting backcourts, the Grovetown Patriots, playing at home, were able to outgun the Harlem Bulldogs Friday.

Watch the video highlights (above) to see Grovetown's sharpshooting guard duo of Jelani Shakir (#2) and Nick Murray (#1) square off against the Bulldogs' exciting tandem of Jonathan Worrell (#1) and Christian Harris (#3).

Shakir (13 points) and Murray (10 points) continued their scoring ways for Grovetown.  But the Patriots were led by forward Jelani Moore (#14), who scored 14 points in the victory.

Harlem's Harris (12 points) and Worrell (12 points) did much of the damage in the losing effort.

The Patriots (3-1) will play Columbia Wednesday at Grovetown High School.  The Bulldogs (0-4) will host Evans.
