Columbia County Rec League Championship 11-12 Year Old Game: Redskins vs Bears (1st half)

1st quarter: The 1st quarter started off with plenty of excitement as the Redskins drove the ball impressively down the field. Led by the powerful rushing of tailback Gregg Rodgers (#6), the Redskins found their way into the end zone in just the first two minutes of the game. Rodgers ran over two defenders as he lunged for the score. The Bears put together a nice drive but were forced to punt. 1st quarter score: Redskins 14 Bears 0

2nd Quarter: The 2nd quarter picked up right where the 1st quarter left off. After forcing a Bears turnover, Gregg Rodgers went 97 yards in just one carry for a touchdown. Rodgers showed incredible speed as he pulled away from Bears defenders. The Bears established a nice drive that unfortunately ended in an interception. Redskin rusher Cory Dryden (#4) ended the half with a 10 yard touchdown run. Score at half: Redskins 22 Bears 0.
