After falling behind 12-9 to Riverside at halftime, Bobbi Wardwell and Kiyana Nelson led the Evans Knights to a 30-17 comeback victory. Wardwell led the Knights with 12 points. Her sidekick, Kiyana Nelson, added 10 to help Evans win at home. Riverside led early after Tya Oliver scored 6 of her team's 12 first half points. Russell Aaliyah led the Eagles with 7 points in the losing effort.
The Knights travel to Stallings Island Middle School to face the Redhawks Tuesday. The Eagles will play at Harlem.
